At My Filosophy, we curate in small, intentional batches. To ensure more of our collection is available to our boutique lovers, we offer select items on backorder or preorder.

What if you have stock in my size but the product is available for backorder.  Will I get the VIP perk?

No.  The VIP perk is only for items that need to be ordered into the store.

Can I cancel a backorder or preorder?

Yes — you may cancel within 24 hours of placing your order. After that, your piece has already been secured with our suppliers.

Do you charge upfront?

Yes, payment is processed at the time of purchase. This ensures your item is reserved and waiting for you.

How long will it take to ship?

Backorders typically ship within 7–28 days. Preorders may vary depending on the collection, but estimated timelines will always be listed on the product page.

Do I get rewarded for waiting?

Absolutely. Every backorder or preorder comes with a 5% VIP thank-you credit, valid for 45 days from your shipping date or pick-up date, toward your next purchase.

What if the item doesn’t come back in stock?

In the rare event that we cannot fulfill your backorder or preorder, we’ll issue a full refund and extend a boutique credit as our thank-you for your patience.

What if I return the item that was on backorder?

If you exchange for another item, you keep your 5% VIP thank you credit.  If you return, the VIP credit becomes nul and void.  If the credit has been used - it will be deducted off the refund.  

Will I be kept updated?

Yes. You’ll receive order confirmation, progress updates, and a shipping notification once your item is on its way. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way.

Please note: our 5% VIP thank-you credit is exclusively available for core backorder items (pieces we always carry and can guarantee in). For special order inquiries, availability will depend on designer stock and timelines.

Are Special Orders included?

Unfortunately not.  Orders from Trunk Shows or special orders that are not part of the core pieces, do not qualify for the 5% VIP thank-you credit.

Free Shipping only applies to Canadian orders over the specified spending amount.  (We do not offer free shipping on Boxing Day). 

Delivery standards are within business days (Monday to Friday) for orders sent from My Filosophy to major urban centres and are dependant upon destination.  We cannot guarantee any delivery windows at this time. 

We are sorry, but we do not offer Saturday or Sunday delivery.  If you are in the Edmonton or surrounding area and you would like to pick up your item, please indicate in store pickup for your shipping method.  Your order will be available for pickup at our 15010 107 Avenue when you receive your shipment email.  

Orders placed after 2pm MST are processed the following business day excluding any holidays.

Add 1 day onto your delivery window for courier pickup availability.

Returns

At My Filosophy, we want you to be fully satisfied with every item that you purchase online from myfilosophy.com. If you are not satisfied with a regular priced item that you have purchased online, you may return the item within 10 days of receiving your online order for a full refund of the purchase price, minus the shipping, handling, gift wrap, or other charges.

The item must be returned in its original condition with all tags attached, in its original packaging (whenever possible) along with all paperwork and accessories to ensure full credit. FINAL SALE on all underwear, beauty products and SALE items.  To protect the integrity of our products and ensure a fair experience for all customers, any item that is returned worn, used, washed, or damaged will not be eligible for a refund or store credit. Items that do not meet our return standards will be deemed ineligible and will not be returned to the sender. These items will be responsibly discarded. Please ensure your return meets our guidelines before sending it back. Anything outside of policy must be approved by My Filosophy in advance by contacting info@myfilosophy.com or 780.488.2334. 

Credit 
You can expect a refund within 20 days of our receiving your returned product. You will be refunded the shipping cost if the return is a result of a manufacturer error or a shipping error on our part.

Damaged Goods or Shipping Error
At myfilosophy.com, we are committed to delivering high quality products to our customers. We employ several quality checks before it leaves our warehouse. If you have received a damaged or defective item, please contact one of our My Filosophy representatives. We will be happy to assist you with a replacement or a credit (if necessary). Our number, within Canada, is 780.488.2334. We can be reached Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM MT. If you are unable to reach us during these hours, please email us at info@myfilosophy.com.

Return Instructions
 Here are the basic steps:

  • Contact My Filosophy for an Return Authorization at 780.488.2334 or info@myfilosophy.com
  • Pack the item securely in the original package, if possible.
  • Enclose a copy of the packing list with the item. Be sure to keep one copy of the packing list for your records. If you cannot send your packing list, please include your order number, billing name, and address with the item.
  • All products must be returned in its original condition with all tags attached, in its original packaging (whenever possible) with all paperwork and accessories to ensure full credit.
  • All return shipping and any other charges (such as duty, import fees) must be prepaid. We will not accept C.O.D. deliveries.

For your protection, we recommend that you use Insured Parcel Post (Canada Post) for your return. Unless your packing slip directs you to ship items to a different address (and if so, follow such directions), ship the return package to:

Keep the Return Tracking Number from the package you are returning to ensure that the package is returned to My Filosophy. You can expect a refund within 30 days of our receiving your returned product. You will be refunded the shipping cost if the return is a result of a manufacturer error or a shipping error on our part.

Who pays for return shipping?
For a return, you are responsible for the cost of returning the merchandise. However, if we have made a mistake and sent you the wrong merchandise, or if you received damaged merchandise, please notify a My Filosophy representative upon receipt of the goods within 24 hours. We will reimburse you for the cost of your shipping and we will not charge you for the shipping costs of replacement merchandise.
